Munene is an Advocate of the High Court, trained in the firm of Muriu Mungai Advocates. He has previously worked in the firms of Kithi & Co Advocates and Wainaina Ireri & Co Advocates. Munene boasts of unmatched success in commercial and corporate litigation and is a common figure in court rooms. Munene‘s practice interests and specialties are in Dispute Resolution and Legal Advisory and Consultancy Services. He has handled many complex disputes before Kenya’s superior courts and tribunals, especially in matters relating to public procurement law, constitutional law, administrative law, employment and labour relations and electoral law. Munene also deals with the following aspects of legal practice;- capital markets law, banking and financial law, law reform, constitutional and judicial review, joint ventures, acquisitions, incorporation of companies, commercial agreements and contracts, shareholders agreement and trust deeds.   • Successfully represented the County Government of Isiolo in a boundary dispute involving Isiolo County Government and Meru County [County Government of Isiolo & 10 others v Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government & 3 others [2017] eKLR

 

  • Represented the Kenya County Government Workers Union in a dispute on the constitutionality of some provisions of the NSSF Act Kenya County Government Workers’ Union v National Social Security Fund Board of Trustees & 5 others [2015] eKLR

 

  • Argued an employment dispute against Safaricom limited in a case concerning reinstatement.

 

  • Successfully acted for Francis Omondi Okonya against the National Police Service Commission [2016] EKLR on the issue of fair administrative action during the vetting of officers by the national police service
